The similarities between dating and job hunting.

Job hunting and dating are very similar. You don’t want to settle– you want to find that one magical person (or in my case, job) that is going to challenge you and make your life feel more complete. You struggle to get everything right to make that perfect first impression and you really try to keep your cool when you find out it’s even better than you thought. Then, when it doesn’t work out, you become heart-broken. Maybe I’ll forget this whole career-woman thing and go after a rich husband. Nevermind… that just made my stomach turn a bit. In Your Face(book)

It’s been an eye-opener researching all the ways I can help my company penetrate social media marketing channels given all the restrictions and bylaws by which we must abide. The medical device industry, just as any other facet of healthcare, is so regulated by the FDA, HIPAA and other regulatory institutions that marketing has almost become a game much like the lottery.
